Beth...BE WELL

Hi Fred thanks for keeping us up on Beth's situation and we are happy things are in a better place now. Talked also with Patti Streicher Tuesday and she is at home right now healing also. We hear the DX is that nasty Congestive Heart Failure. Kathe and Pat and I are meeting for breakfast Sat am and then Kathe and her"bride" Alicia are working on final preps for the BIG DAY. We are all excited for them and look forward to some family time together.
I sent out some maps just to give you guys an overview of the lay of the land. I am assuming lots of you will use your google to navigate from one place to another.
Julie and Bev spent last weekend in here and we did some serious shopping again. I got my garden delivered to me via Julie and it was great fun.
Sat eve K and Pat and we three joined forces to eat at Giordannos...even squeezed in a Mass at D G and so it was a filled weekend for us.
Again, we are sooo happy to know Beth is going to be okay so I know the blog is quiet esp since we are going to see each other very soon but any news or questions, please post
Love to you all. I am going to go walking in the gorgeous fall weather here in Chitown today...and PS aren't we glad we were raised to appreciate more than our moola...WOW..p

  1. It is 1230 PM. This is my first time here since my laser surgery at 9:00 AM this morning. And I can see the screen and read it well. I have not been able to do this for several months. So thank you, Lord, apparently this laser surgery on my left eye has worked. It had become very difficult to try to write on this blog which is one reason I have not written lately. So hurrah!@ I'm back on line.

We are baby-sitting Nick and Isabella-staying overnight at their house and getting them off to school and then picking them up after and running them to their activities like soccer and music lessons.(or I should say, Ed does all this running). Phil and Deb left fot Haweaii last Friday and Grandma Reece had the kids last week-end and will have them again this week-end. Phil and Deb will return next Wednesday at noon so we will be done. On Thursday, of course, we leave for Pat and Mary Jo's place and are looking forward to seeing all the family on the week-end.

When we get home, we will get ready for my second surgery on my right eye which will be Nov. 3. That surgery will be more involved. The doctor will be peeling scar tissue off my retina. It will take 4 to 6 months to heal completely. That is why the doctor wanted to do the laser surgery first so I will have good sight out of the left eye.

We are well otherwise. So I will close now. Love, Mary C

  3. Hi to all,

Pat and I are looking forward to this wonderful family weekend. Hope the weather will hold out for just a few more sunny, nice days. If not, the conversation should keep us warm!

Mary, glad to hear your surgery was a success. Will keep you in our prayers for the second eye to go as well. Patty, we wll continue to pray for your recovery also.

Mary and Ed, we thought your would be arriving on Wed, but it sounds like Thurs is the day. Ed, the Orchard Rd. exit is closed right now so you will want to exit on Highway 47 which is also Highway 30, Joliet, Sugar Grove exit. Then go south for about 3 miles and follow highway 30 to the left.

Hope everyone has a safe trip

    love and prayers,
    Mary Jo and Pat
