Updates on Several Fronts

I was surprised on Thur to find out that Patty Streicher had been in the hospital for 29 days.  Her son told me so I visited her on Friday on my way home from work.  Thanks Bonnie for your note as I got this news all about same time.  

  She had some kind of non malignant tumor removed; that was followed by an obstruction (scar tissue) in the bowel; then a twisted part of the bowel was removed several days later.  I caught her and Harry in their room just as she was being released.  I just read a note that her heart rate is fast and I know nothing about how she is right at this moment but I may call there later today and keep you updated.  She seemed to look okay on Friday all things considered..

   Harold Streicher is home and they are monitoring him closely and as you all know if you go onto Caringbridge.com and click on the site called:  harolds  you can read what is going on there and also leave a note for him. You may need to create a password but it is quick and painless.  It is easy to use and they said they loved getting notes and so on.

    As some of you may also know, Bob Smith is going to near Louisville Kentucky to work for 11 months as a cartographer technician in order to establish a future pension plan that Jo and Bob both want.   Jo can fill you in when we meet in a few weeks.  Wishing them the best on this plan and if all goes well, Bob is back in St. L a year from now.  They are still planning on attending the wedding so we are still at 100% attendance!  Yea!

    Bev and Julie come in this weekend for some Chicago time....we hope to all get together Sat night for some dinner.  We usually go to a few shops that they cannot use in Iowa and Julie I am sure will bring along some of her gastronomic delights!

  As stated, I lost photos and when I get some organized I can post some of the comings and goings...Tom Lennon had his birthday 28th of Sept and thank Jan for remininding us of that and realize most of you already contacted him...My blog has lost out to other things in life and thank others for reminding me to get back on track!!!!
