Hi Joanne
Of course it is another one down and all the best!
I used my new red walker to come over to the computer...I look a LOT like mom now...and wanted to correct a few details but yes I did sprain my RIGHT ankle this time....new boots and some tiredness thrown in....it was the night after being at Pat and MJ's...I drove over to Target and had a bad tumble and twist...I was very lucky it was inside and that I did not have to catch a fall with wrists and it was not on ice or it would have been very very scarey..I called Kathe on Sunday eve and she came over early Monday morning to get me to an acute care center..not really an emergency center but after xrays and exam...NO FRACTURE. I stayed off the ankle thanks for Kathe staying with me for several days...and things have turned for the better already. My pal is taking my practice over for a day or so and I PLAN to be back in the saddle Friday morning. thanks for anyone out there who thought about me and send a wee prayer...it worked! I feel like this body is such a mean lean healin machine....Good to hear from you Ed and Mary....love and want to roll back to lie down and put my feet up.
PS NYEve was very simple and small group but we had a very nice time...good champagne at least and I was pampered as Mary Jo and Kathe basically took over and cooked for me...Love for now pb
happy belated birthday to Jo. Hope you had a good day. Disappointed not to see you two over New Years.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have a few days of R and R before heading back to school on Mon. Jan. 7. It is quiet as my sister, brother, and some nieces and nephews came in for New Year's Day. My sister and a niece stayed overnight and we did some shopping on Wed.
Pat had a few appointments this morning and then will be back for his caucus marathon TV watching! I'm sure he will be up all night watching the results. He is so bumbed that he can't attend!!
It was great to have Patty and Harry over for lasagne on Sunda. They look and feel great. Left this morning for a month in Florida and Texas. Patty and Harry intertained us with stories from the past. They left around 6;00 and then Peg headed over to Target and her sprained ankle. Kevin and his girl friend stopped in for a meal then off to see her sister and boyfriend in downtown Chicago. He left tues. morning to return to base in Georgia.
Peg felt much better by New Year's Eve and what a great dinner at her house. Thanks, Peg.
Vi Lennon called on New Year's Day She said things are going well for her and her gang! She has put Alicia's wedding on her calendar and plans on attending. Hope Alicia has her on the guest list???
Our girls are doing well. Marianne has us up to Madison for christmas which was very fun. Marianne is back in the tax side of her company so she is working until 7 or 8 at night until the middle of January. She doesn't enjoy this and hopes their will be a promotion and a job change to another division soon in her company Karen and Luke are saving money as she will quit work in August to attend nursing school. Both husbands are working hard and doing well.
Have a good trip, Linda and Ed. Glad to hear your knee is doing well. Hope Bob does as well with his.
Bonnie and Mary, good to read your updates.
Hope you all have a happy, healthy, and blessed new year. love, Mary Jo
MaryJo good to hear from you and such a newsy report. Nice.
ReplyDeletePeg, I didnt know til today about your pain in the ankle.Hope you heal fast. No news from Beth and her foot or Linda and her knee, so hope all is well for both of them.
Lets hope the hubbies will take down the trees and pack away the Christmas baubles for them.
My son-in-law, Bob holds the worlds record for that,I think. Sarah was up visiting them for New Years and she said while she went to take a shower (20 minutes)she came out to the living room after and saw that the Locketts huge 10 foot tree was gone. No ornaments or anything in sight, except where the tree had been, just to tease, Bob had grabbed a small miniature decorated tree from the window sill and placed it on the exact spot where the 10 foot tree had been. Sarah said she couldnt believe her eyes and when Jackson walked into the room, and said, where did the Christmas tree go?, Bob told him he had just shrunk the tree. And Jackson at 6 really believed Uncle Bob. Sarah couldnt believe anyone could undecorate and put away all the ornaments and haul the tree outdoors, and clean up the rug of needles in only 20 minutes. Any challengers out there???
Jo, may you have many more Happy Birthdays. Sorry I forgot and even was going to tell you HB when I sent the silly videomail of Joe and Laura.
And Mary, your card came back as wrong address, took it 15 days, so it was a good thing I received your card and letter today and have sent it out again. Thought sure I had your correct address.
Mike I sure enjoyed getting the photocard of Jim and family, what cuties those little girls are.
Its really cold down here in the south. Was 28 degrees this morning and it was very windy. So now we have certainly had our killing frost. The ferns on my front porch look pretty droopy. And my sis in Florida reports they are worried about the citrus crops.
Happy New Year to all the Lennons and their kinfolks. Stay warm and healthy. Love, B.
Fess up Peg!! Around New Years you just happened to trip and fall!!! Okay, I've seen you after a few!! Shame on you.
ReplyDeleteDo hope you heal fast and well. Am writing this from StAugustine, Fl. where it hit 60* today. After two days on Hilton Head Island @ 30* we are happy! We really loved that area. Looked at some homes and found one we liked. It is a Del Webb community near Savannah, Ga. , Charlston, SC and 20 Miles from Ocean. Neat area and taxes are unbelievably cheap!! My kind of state.
Linda is getting better with knee every day but still fighting swelling.
We leave here Sun. for Orlando Lawn Doctor convention. Will update from there.
Hope this finds everyone well and Peg sober!! Kidding Peg.
Love- Bro Ed
