Happy Birthday Peg!!!! Well, you too Roseanne, and, uh, Kathe!!! Wow, now I know why I love that month of February - Valentine's Day or what???? I mean, even Mike got into the act in that month!! In any event, I pray all of you have wonderful birthdays and all will have many more ahead of you. Things here have been nothing but a flow of activity that just does not seem to slowdown. We have had a number of visitors, not the least of which was Mary & Ed (and a fine visit it was indeed), activities with all the kids and grandkids, Church activities and ups and downs with medical issues. The medical issue with our priest friend had been an up and down ride as he was about to undergo a pretty serious operation when the doctor decided not to do it as he thought the problem was something other than Cancer. This friend goes in tomorrow morning for further testing. Beth's hammertoe surgery was first moved-up on Monday and then cancelled as they had a power failure at the hospital at about the time we were to leave for the hospital. She is now scheduled for her surgery on November 7th - so keep her in your prayers. We are having typical fall weather here and we spent all day outside doing the things necessary for winterization. Almost all the grandchildren are dressed-up for the All Saints party tonight at Christ the King Church where Wendy & Brad oversee the party. Tomorrow I will be helping out at all the Holy Masses at St. Gerald's for All Saints Day (Roseanne, can you imagine having been born on All Saints Day!!!) and blowing out Mike's sprinkler system lines (before they freeze). The way things are going here, the next thing we will be enjoying is the New Year!! When they say the older you get the faster time flies, I know exactly what they mean. Everyone here is doing well and we are keeping those boys serving in the military in our prayers and ask their guardian angels to bless and protect them throughout their ordeals. Kathe, tell me where Norbert & Alicia are taking their premarriage classes. I was hoping it would be St. John Cantius as I would love to see their wedding at that Church!!! Must close. May God bless all of you and may you all have a holy and blessed All Saints Day and may that be the goal of all of us. Love, Deacon Joe
Happy Birthday to you Ms.Peg, as I am passing out the goodies/treats to my neighborhood children, I am thinking of you and wondering how you are celebrating your birthday. Enjoyed the photos of the pumpkin farm, and thought I would suggest, that since Mary is lamenting about collective memories she is to produce for her children, why doesnt everyone help her out by each one citing a particular memory that you have, as a sibling, of her or something you did with her while growing up. Doesnt have to be shared on the blog, but since none of you are famous for sending snail mail, maybe that is the easiest way. Someone used to tell about the kitchen ceiling incident--------that should get someone going. Happy Birthday to Roseanne and Kathe also, and may you all three have blessed days to thank God for your longevity. Love, B.
