  1. Another quick note to thank you Mary for your update on the collapsed bridge as your phone was busy when we tried to call last night. Also, Beth's surgery has been cancelled due to high blood pressure. She will see the doctor on Aug. 13th to begin process of determining why she has high blood pressure. Still very hot here!! 2. Mary, Ed and All -
Thank you for updating us on that
    terrible disaster! I so worried
that someone from the family might
    be involved.
We will continue to pray for all of
you Minnesotans. It is truly a shocking loss.

  3. Hi everyone. I bet those Smith ladies are burning up Chicago!! We are headed for the lake again tomorrow afternoon (Thursday). Ed's brother and wife and niece are joining us at our campground Saturday and Sunday. I think Friday will be a workday for Ed and Sue:Both of us have to wash up our campers. Maybe we will only get one of them done.

Patty and Chris brought back salmon from Alaska and gave us some. Friday night we will share it with Sue, Cathy and Guy.

We will be home around 1:00PM on Monday. Ed and I have routine tests at the doctor a week from Friday. We will then go to the lake for a 10 day stint. But i'll try to touch base next week with you all.

Phil and Deb and kids had a great time in Chicago and the Dells. We got to see their pictures tonight.

    Love to all. Mary C

  4. Just hopping on here to wish Beth a very happy birthday and of course many more. I did call her but hope the rest of you will be sure to wish her the best.
I sure had a wonderful time with Julie here. She is the greatest guest, eating whatever I served, adapting to my schedule, and just generally bieng nice to have around. Bieng two ladies who live alone, we have a lot in common and have some very similar tastes. She even went to the health club with me and went thru my exercise routines with me. What a gal. I would welcome her anytime. Many more happy birthdays Beth. Love, Bonnie

  5. Nice to see more dialogue on our blog. Happy B'Day Beth and many more!! Hope this finds all of you well.
Nice to hear Julie had a nice vacation. She said that the girls are hoping for a visit to Toms next year if his place hasn't sold. Is Tom moving again? I would e-mail him direct, but he never reads them and his cite is usually loaded and won't take any e-mails!
Nothing exciting here. Just put our Jan. Florida trip together. Going to Williamsburg for New Years eve, then Hilton Head Island, St. Augustine, Fla, Orlando (Lawn Doctor convention), then Palm Beach (friends), Key Largo, Indian Rock Beach(Gulf shore) then to our friends in The Villages, followed by friends in Ocala, and home. We had hoped to visit Tom & Jan but he's going to be gone. We will be looking at potential retirement spots in all of above locations. We will put business up for sale and hope it sells, if not we keep going! Steve got me into a wine club he started (called Vino Rossi) and we meet once a month for dinner at a nice resterant in Providence. Have 8-10 members and I am enjoying immensely. Some of these guys have cellars with $15,000-$50,000 in wines, encluding Steve. Crazy!! I told Steve I'm not putting away wines that will be ready to drink in 20 years. Hell, I may not be here! It is fun to discover new wines. Linda doing good. Taking her to Boston specialist on Monday to see if he can figure out her kidney/liver problem. She is still planning on knee replacement this fall. Tammy finished moving into new home. Her Alicia is entering sophmore year in college this month. Rebecca moved into a new home in Phoenix, everbody else doing well, thank God. Grand kids are grand! So all is well with the world. Sorry we will miss the gathering in Chicago, but bad time for us. Not worth flying in for basicly 24hrs. Mary, is Sue still planning to come east? Let me know.
Got to go. Love to all. Bro Ed
