Okay, so this is now a Maggie journal...by the way, thanks Fred and ED and Bonnie for saying hello to the blog. By the way, Ed are you feeling better now? I thought you would have popped back on by now to share some of your Spain highlights and Moroccan food ideas......
Today, Kathe and I are meeting for lunch BEFORE the madness begins in our city...I met Roseanne and Tom yesterday for lunch at Pappadeaux....we had a great time. Kevin and Julie are coming in next Friday night instead of Sat eve and it sounds like Karen and Marianne are joining us as are Pat and MJ...how cool. The fur coat and fur hat I wore yesterday at Oak Brook Mall barely kept me from freezing to death. I decided to go to Apple figuring no one would be in the mall...well there was no one in the mall..they were all INSIDE the APPLE store. It is amazing. I had to book another appointment day as they were booked (These are the booths you go to to get free help with your ipod and computers)
I cancelled a movie with my good friend Sharon and curled up by the fireside and read a novel...I had no intentions of being out at night in that cold weather.
I just wonder about the intelligence of Chitown people who are actually TAILGATING at the stadium today...what the hey?????????
I plan to paint the ceiling in my kitchen as a finishing up thing after my kitchen was fixed up a little this year. Go Bears and Sayonara for now...maggie in Westmont Come on you guys Spice this thing up. You can see spicing it up is not gonna get done by me. Emily, exucse bad grammatics....haha
Sorry for my tardiness Peg. Had my usual troubles. After getting over post trip bug and feeling human again, I walked out of my front door last Sunday. Didn't realize it was icy and went down hard. Long story short, I've been drugged up and otherwise useless. Just got latest Dr report and bones ok except small fracture in wrist. However MRI shows torn tendons in shoulder which limits my left arm movement. Bummer!! Got to see orthopedic Dr. As soon as I'm able, I'll download some pictures of trip Some are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Super Bowl was played two weeks ago between Patriots and Indy!! Get rid of Grossman!!! Sorry, but I had to say that. Happy B'Day Fred. Lindas' B'Day is the 9th and our 31st Anniv. is the 14th. Who would of thunk it!!
Love- Bro Ed
Bro-ed: What are you trying to do - check-out early??? And on a Sunday morning yet!!! Beth and I both thought thank God you damaged only what you damaged. Beth did a trick like that a number of years ago in a parking lot except she hit her head and didn't know where she was for while. She still thinks today that everytime she gets a headache, it is because of that fall. We do want to say Happy Birthday to Linda - what is that, 29??? Also Happy Anniversary! Even though that is a big number in today's world, we hope you never catch up with us!!! As to the Super Bowl, everyone here left by half-time and we all knew who was going to win. I didn't findout until breakfast with our friends the next day but I would have been shocked, maybe to death, if they had not told me the Colts were the winners. Peg, make sure that Kevin gets on your computer before he leaves Chitown and say a few words. It would be a shame to miss this opportunity. We are experiencing big time global warming here - temps well below zero - so make sure you all stop breathing to stop this horrendous, scientific verified phenomina!!! I know Ford is helping as we are shutting down about 12-plants to help this cause. Hey, is there any news regarding engagements and wedding anniversary celebrations??? Peg, plug us in so we know what is going on since you remain the center of all Lennon information. Hope you are all looking forward to Lent (can you believe just two weeks away)and have decided what you are going to scrifice. Make it tough so it is meaningful!! Must close. God Bless you all.
ReplyDeleteJust popping on to say thank you to Ed, Peg,Fred, and Mary for their very newsy comments. Happy Birthday Linda, and Happy Anniversary to Linda and Edward. One can never forget your anniversary as every time I get out the Valentine decor. I think of you two. Thirty one years. WOW! Thats wonderful.
ReplyDeleteEven in Ga. we have had the BRRRRRRRRR cold weather. 22 degrees last weekend, which is cold for us.
Sarah and children leave for their free trip to Disneyland on feb. 14 so they are all excited about that.Laura going along with because the trip was for four. Emma's iritus is currently not flaring so that is a good thing. She can be off the chemo drug for at least a month again.
Forgot to ask if Roseanne did a name change or kept Lennon. Does anyone know??
Joe has winter break, so is off to Prague and then Berlin for a few days.
Love to all. Bonnie
