Roseanne on Christian

Roseanne tried also to get onto comments. She could not. Are all of you clicking on anonymous when you proceed to comment. It is the quickest way to comment. Pat wrote directions also to follow. Both Bonnie and Roseanne said they could not get on.
This is copied from Roseanne and she asked me to post this:
I finally got on our family blog and couldn’t figure out how to add a comment to your latest entry. When I clicked on “comments” at the bottom of your entry, nothing opened. So, drats!

At any rate, I was going to write that Christian flew out last night to Afghanistan and expects to be there through Jan. ’10.

I told him we would have a party in Chicago when he returns and I was already looking into airfares.

This is his 5th tour in 6 ½ years. Please keep him in your prayers, as with all of our family soldiers.

I know we will all want to keep abreast as possibly Kevin and for certain Brett is also heading out soon.
Gotta run to work Love p

  2. I will see if I have a problem posting. One thing that may be happening is some people may be writing their comment BEFORE selecting the (Comment as:) pop up window. If you do that you will loose the comment.

So always choose your Identity First (Anonymous or Name/URL) Then write your comment and post. Let Peg know if you're doing that and still not able to post. She can check with the blog provider and get the problem fixed. Peace and Love to all. Pat

  3. Hi All,

Thought I would post a little info on my road trip out east with my sister and cousin. We left IL on Wed., July 15 heading for Niagara Falls. We had a fantastic room on the 8th floor of the Marriott with a full view of Horseshoe Falls. Spent the evening eating cheese and crackers watching the light show and the fireworks. Also had breakfast doing the same thing. Took the Maid of the Mist boat to see the falls up close. Then spent Thurs. night in New York.

Arrived in Gloucester MA early Friday evening at Sonja's dughter and son-in-laws home. Her daughter is the director of the Whale Center in Gloucester. On Saturday morning we got to tag along on a whale watch with her and her 6 college students. we were out about 20 miles in the ocean for 4 hours and saw many whales feeding and doing what whales do naturally. It was fasinating watching and listening to her explaining what they were doing and how they are named.. That night we had our first lobster dinner at a little place along the harbor.

On Sunday we drove up along the coast to Freeport ME . Saw The Bush compound in Kennebunkport and had lunch along the harbor (lobster number 2). then stopped at the l.L Bean flag ship store in Freeport.

Will leave for Provincetown for two nights and then on to Boston for Friday and Saturday. Hope to meet up with Kathe,Peg, and Ed and Linda when they are in Bean Town over the weekend.

Having a great time. Wish you were here. Ha,Ha!

    Love and prayers,
    Mary Jo
