Just wanted to pop on and say Happy Anniversary to Patrick and MaryJo. Was that a diet cake you made for them Peg??? And was Patrick trying to see it close up??? You two are a testimonial to a good marriage. You should pat yourselves on the back for making it through all these years. And heres wishing you many, many, more happy anniversaries. Im hoping Mike will get on here and give us the latest knee report. Even if all is going well we need to hear that too. Heres a testimonial to the economic times:: Tuesday, I drove over to my Chrysler Dealer, which is of course one of those being closed, and picked up copies of all my service records, since that is where the van was purchased 12 years ago, while out,I stopped to check out why our local Roswell theatre didnt answer the phone. Yes, they had closed down also, no notice. When returning to my car, in the parking lot, I was approached by a well dressed, middle aged, man who was asking for money to feed his children. He said he had already been to North Fulton Charities, our local food pantry and community outreach and they couldnt help him. He politely kept about 6 feet distance, so as not to seem confrontive. Very polite man. When I got home, I felt like, wow, it really is closing in on us, this economic tragedy. Laura said it is affecting her business also. Yet todays economic report sites an upswing in stocks etc. As long as Soc Sec holds out, I will survive. Hope you are all fairing well and have a happy summer. Love, B.
