Family Death/ Family Birthday

I am really the last person to be doing this as I just heard last night from Joanne and Pat that Patty and Harry lost their granddaughter, Heather on Saturday. She is the daughter of Maggie and she had been suffering from Cystic Fibrosis since her birth. I left a message on Patty and Harrys' phone today asking for some information and passing on our collective condolences. I need more info and as soon as I get any, I will pass it along. I am hoping Jo's connections to Ottumwa may breed more info as well. The last I talked with Hal and Renee about a month ago, Heather had been waiting for lung transplant as her condition became more critical. What a tragedy for them all. PS Hal looks great and is back at work almost full time. He feels very blessed and seemingly has a clean slate as far as his cancer is concerned as his Docs tell him.
I hope Tom is faring better after his fall and that his travels are fun and happy in Alaska. I am looking forward to hosting Fred and Beth this Sunday evening as they pass through Chitown after visiting Iowa and the Miles High Class Reunion for his class. Julie is also excited go host them. Tom, thanks by the way for your little video.
I have been particularly busy and had little time to host the blog. So good to see other comments from Mary and Bonnie and hope to hear more from all of you./
This weekend on Monday Memorial Day, Pat is hosting a BBQ so hopefully will enjoy hanging out with them. Will hopefully remember my camera this time.
I love you all and so happy to hear of your comings and goings...Mary, I am younger than you but could not possibly keep up with you. Ed and Linda, whazzup? How are your new digs?
Going to get out into this summer day with a bike ride or walk .
Lastly but not leastly: We have a birthday girl I believe on the 20th, right Mary?? Tell us about your special day. Love to you all, peg

  1. THANKS PEG FOR THE INFORMATION.
I am on my way out to dinner with my ADK sisters-it is our May meetinig. We are going to a fancy restaurant. thought I would go and find out what it is like.

Potted plants this morning and I am really tired We leave for the lake tomorrowe morning and will not be back to St. Paul Park until the evening of May 31. Then we return to the lake on June 3 a Becki, Chrisis's second daughter graduates from high school. We will stay at the lake through that week-end, getting home about June 8. So news from up here will be short, though we are supposedly able to get on line this year from the lake. So we will see.

Must close. Want to see today's mail and thenget a meal ready for Ed when he gets home. He is at hospital doing a stress test ordered by doctor-supposedly routine. He does huff and puff but twice before he has gone through the stress and every follow up test available and nothing shows up. Anyway, must go.

Family will celebrate my birthday on Saturday at the lake. Love, Mary C
