Thanks Jo for getting to all of us regarding Mike. Sounds like he has a big owie....These surgeries are usually very successful IF the patient does their rehab. We love you Mike. Stay strongKathe has this week off so we had dinner last night. She is excited to meet with her family this weekend for their brunch outing. Julie joins me this weekend and Pat and MJ are having Easter for us and her children at her home.
I am still reeling from getting my flooding and regrading projects done by summer time.I spend the weekend in downtown Chicago going to a seminar and learned many new things and hope to be able to show them off to my family and patients.
I have nothing new to share but am happy to see someaction on this blog despite the "recession". Keep onboard and let us all know how your Lent and Easter goes. Love and Happy Easter to my loving family. peg
Ps I will see if Julie wants to write on this blog this weekend. WAIT FOR IT...
Hi Everyone!
ReplyDeleteWe arrived home at 12:30 PM, ate lunch, unpacked, listened to phone messages, opened mail, and now to the computer for updates!!!
I did get opportunity to see e-mail once while up at Chris's, so got Jo's message about Mike (who had been in my daily prayers) so did call him Tuesday night. He said he was feeling better that day for first time and had hope that life would get good again. Until then, he had found the surgery pretty painful and harrying!!! He said he had no interest in a computer up to that point: hadn't even read any newspapers!! Now that tells you he was really DOWN! (Like my Ed always says to me, He'll pray when he is sick!-And I say to him, Oh, no you won't-at least not how you are picturing it!! Your suffering will be the prayer, perhaps, but no pius, uplifting of heart!!!
Anyway, We drove to Duluth on Sunday. Matt is really a good kid-a lad with no guile. Ten years old. Innocent, polite, straight-forward, cooperative, gentle, good hearted. His folks can be proud of him. Mature for his age. And Pepper the dog is a honey: aged, so not too rambunctious, but helps me and Ed realize what old age should look like: sprawled on the couch in the sun, sleeping!!
Wishing all of you time with the Lord these next three days and then lots of eggs and hoopla on Easter Sunday with family and friends. All our five kids and grandchildren (except, Christina Jones) will be at Sue's for Easter dinner. Cathy is planning an Easter Egg hunt for the grandchildren. Love to all of you and hope all is going well for you and all loved ones. Until next time, Love Mary C.
Just a quick Hi to all of you, and wishing each of you a most Blessed and Holy Easter. I just spoke with brother Michael, and he sounded good. Had just finished his daily physical therapy, and tho in much pain he sounded hopeful and optomistic about his daily improvements.
ReplyDeleteWe are having Easter dinner here this year, as the Locketts are coming down the mtn. to help us celebrate. It is also Rachel's seventeenth birthday on Easter Day, so Ginny is also bringing a cheesecake,( Rachel's request.) Havent had all the grandchildren together for quite some time now. It will be wonderful. Wishing I could see all the rest of you, but suffice it to say, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love and God Bless, B.
Finally got to hear the above video of Julie and Peg. Dont know why, but on my computer, it wasnt hearable the first time it downloaded, that was yesterday. Today I could hear the whole thing. Strange.
ReplyDeleteHad two of the grandchildren here after Easter for a few days. Rachel and Jeremy went home this morning. Jeremy, at 12, was a fun challenge at the health club. He went along with me two days, and Im telling you, you havent lived until you are side by side on a stationary bike with your grandson going at about 85 miles an hour while you are plugging away at a snails pace speed beside him.Fun, Fun.
Sarah filled and Rachel hid 238 plastic eggs with goodies in them, in my back woods. and the three young ones spent nearly 20 minutes finding them all.
Meanwhile, having heard, read, and saw that this years most wanted fashion statement this season. is a long scarf, draped in various ways about the neck, waist etc, I decided it would make the perfect Easter gift for the girls.
You should have seen the crazy and wild various ways in which they each modeled their scarves. From around the head to around the derierre, we witnessed some new fashion trends that may or may not take hold, but we had a lot of laughs and enjoyed the crazyiness!!!
Ginny baked a fantastic chocolate crusted cheesecake with strawberries atop, for Rachel's seventeenth birthday which we also celebrated on sunday. Had a very blessed Easter. Hope you all did also. Much love and peace, B.
