Mary Jo Birthday

Tonight Mary Jo and Pat are having friends and relatives join them at Francesca's (One of MJ favorites) Restaurant to help her celebrate her birthday which is Sunday.

We will give you a detailed report as soon as we can.  Happy Bday MJ!

Mike, I have not called you again, but would love to hear from you via email or whatever, to let us know how you are progressing.  Wishing you well, of course.

Joanne arrives next weekend to join us to have some good food and times together.  Julie is coming in from Iowa and we will take some photos and post if we can.

I am going to meet Roseanne soon in Hinsdale for an afternoon together.  The weather looks sucky but maybe the warm weather will keep us happy.
Stay in touch Lennons  Love to each and every one. p

  1. Peg, just to update You on My new Knee, everything is going very well. I was down to the Vets Hospital on Friday for physical therapy and the Therapist said I was probably three weeks ahead of where She thought I would be and thought that maybe I would require only several more sessions along with My continuing Home exercises, mostly just to improve My knee's flexability. I have absolutly no pain and am using no pain medications. Stiffness of the leg muscles is My only implication and that is going away as I exercise. I am not using either a walker nor a cane and for the most part, walk fairly Normal, including climbing stairs. I would guess in two weeks time I will be pretty much normal. Thanks for all Your concerns and calls, they have been helpful. A special thanks to Brother Tom as He has been My biggest Cheerleader and called almost every Day as well as sending Me Cards and Crossword puzzles. There are advantages to belonging to a big and loving Family.

  2. Michael, It is so good to hear from you as I have been wondering about your progress. You must be following the docs orders very well and doing all those exercises that they ordered, to have such a good report. And with no pain medications, Im sure you are much more in touch with your recovery, than most people would be. Keep up the great recovery process and blog on again in a week or two. Loved hearing how well youve done. God Bless, B

  3. Hi All, Mike so good to get such a thorough report on your knee recovery. So happy for you.
Mary Jo ! Happy Birthday, belated, but not any less sincere. Life goes by so fast. Well, now I remember, I did not get to my computer yesterday or I would have remembered to send greetings yesterday. Anyway, I hope you had a great day and that God will shower you with many blessings and many more years to enjoy them.

Have spent the day packing canned goods to take to stock the lake place. We will open on Friday, May 1. Ed has a retirement party to attend Thursday evening in Duluth. Then we will stay all night at Patty and Chris's place, and drive to the campground Saturday morning and open it. Sue will come later on Saturday and we will open her place on sunday. Hope it is warm. We are supposed to stay until the following Friday, but if it is too cold, we may go home early.
It's been a grey day here today, but the misting rain passed by this morning.
Have not gotten to my e-mail for today, so will make this short.
    Love to all of you.

  4. I just had a look at Rebecca's beautiful jewelry and thought we should all help her in her sales by at least checking it out. Peg, I hope it isnt inappropriate to advertise for a fellow Lennon. If you are interested in buying some beautiful jewelry created by a Lennon grandchild, go to: SterlingbyRebecca.Etsy.com
    Great mothers day gifts.
She deserves some support from the East coast part of the family. Happy Cinco De Mayo!
