Hi! Life here is barely surviving. I guess we are all busy. So sorry to hear of your flood ,Peg, and am worrying this week-end as I hear Chicago had nasty weather again, and lots of water. Let us know you are ok.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, for Ed's birthday (which is up coming), we went to a live concert by the St. Louis Jesuits. They were in concert as a benefit for the School Sisters of Notre Dame. It was wonderful! Of course, the majority of their music that we all know was composed in the 70"s and 80"s, when they were young and very handsome: like us, they are gray and mature and a little bit paunchy, and they gave a wonderful two hour concert/sing-a-long. Wow! Last Sunday, we had David Haas at our parish for an hour and a half concert: also, beautiful and inspiring. So we have had two wonderful experiences to keep us going for a while!!!
We drove to Duluth Saturday tobury an old co-worker of Ed's at MNDOT. This coming week, Cathy wants me to come with her to an inside park with her daycare kids for the morning-from 9:00 to noon. Thursday night, Chris and Patty will bring Matt down for us to baby-sit for the next week; they will leave for a trip to Mexico for a week. We will be here until Sunday afternoon, and then we will drive to Duluth until Holy Thursday morning, thus getting back to our oun parish for Triduum services. Then on Easter Sunday, Sue will have the entire family at her house for dinner. So life will be full in next weeks.
Will close and see if I can get this sent. Hope all is well with all of you. Love Mary C.
Just a reminder to all of you who read this, to keep brother Michael in our thoughts and prayers for his upcoming surgery on his knee. I hope someone (maybe Jo) will put out the word as to how the surgery gos and how he is recovering afterwards. Maybe Nancy can take a photo of him on his crutches so we can all see his smiling face when its over.
