Hey, am really enjoying being locked in here..after all it is Sunday and time to light up the fireplace and get some serious baking done.!
Last night, Pat and MJ and Roseanne and Tom and a few varied friends joined us for our local Christmas Performance at the Tivoli Theater. Pat even showed up and only caught a couple of winks...Very colourful and beautiful. I called Julie just now to check on our little Clinton sissy who is baking fudge today. I plan to give Joanna buzz soon and then an email off to Brett! I guess he is really enjoying all the communicado from the FAM so yes, let us keep up our good work!
Kathe and I will be joining alicia next Sun for the spritz cookie day as we were all afraid to slide onto the icy roads today. As for me, I am doing computer work, baking some brownies, looking at my pretty tree (thanks Mary and Bonnie for your kind words about my little balsam) planning to make some soup tonight for dinner and just being so grateful for having a warm little house and having access to my family at this time of the year and yes, being able to connect with all of you! So please keep in touch!
Kathe and I have made plans to stay in the Renaissance on Dec 23 and 24 and shop with her daughter Alicia and Norb, go to midnight mass at the church they are getting married in (Old St. Pat's Cathedral), enjoy the downtown and all that goes with staying in a luxury hotel. Then we plan to return tomy home on Dec 25th for some fireplace horderuves (sp)? and hopefull time with whoever is available...maybe Tom and Roseanne and Emily? We do not know and then my sissy will be staying with me for a night or two...How FUN!
Brett's Army Story is told this week in Vanity Fair (Katherine Heigel from Greys Anatomy is on the cover) If any of you wish to read more.
We hope to go to the Zoo also before the festival is over so as you can see, we have mucho mucho going...I need to run now and plan some upcoming meals from my Weightwatcher site...Love for now m
Peg, thanks once again for sharing your life with all of us. I just love how you describe the plans you all have for Christmas and it sounds like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am listening to Andrea Bochelli, Kenny G., and Sarah Brightman singing on Public tv from Tuscany and is such beautiful music I decided it was the perfect time to decorate my little tree and the mantel greens.
Our Christmas tree lots this year have signs that read: "Our trees are all freshly cut and we water them daily", a sign of the times of our severe drought. I think thats the only way they can sell those trees is to get us to believe they are not dried up results of our summer growth time.
Hopefully, the christmas cards will go out this week.
Im wondering how Linda's knee and Beths foot are doing by now.Lets have some reports on the blog. Its good to hear that Alicia and Kathe keep the wreath cookie baking tradition going. What fun that you all can do it together. Happy December, Love, Bonnie
