Happy New Year and Happy Birthday Jo

Hi Very sad that Jo and Bob will not be coming as Bob is having some knee problems which could cramp his style..but remember Joanne has a birthday coming in on Jan 2..so Jo let me be the first to say Happy Birthday and you will be missed this weekend.!

Kevie called last night from Julies and said he may wander in this weekend and as Mary Jo and Pat shall be hosting Patty and Harry at their place tomorrow, Kevin said he may try to get in..It was good to hear from him..
Roseanne and I had some time together today for lunch and as I said Kathe had spent a night or two here last weed and she helped me clean up all my cupboards and fridge and it looks great!!
It is a gray Chitown day here and I just wanted to pop on for a moment. My friend Sharon and I are going to a movie tonight so I am checking out and sitting by the fire for an hour or so before she picks me up..
Called Julie and she explained she works all day Monday so could not come in for our little NYEve dinner...I am looking forward to hosting our little party..Love for now Good to hear from so many of you..Jo Mary Fred How fun...kisses hugs and happy new year. p

  2. Happy New Year to all. Sitting here in Williamsberg, Va and thinking of you all. Arrived Sun. in heavy rain after 8 1/2 hr. drive. Trip was really not bad. Staying at Williamsberg Lodge within walking distance of old Williamsberg. Weather turned nice and we have been in mid 50's last two days. Won't bore you with all the neat events, etc. but it has been really great. I recommend this visit to anyone who enjoys history as I do. We listened to a speech by Thomas Jefferson this morning behind Colonial Palace. We leave tommorrow for Hilton Head Island. Turning cold here for next few days, so seems a good time to go further south!!! Linda using crutches on long walks but otherwise doing good. I wish all of you a great 2008!! Happy B'Day Joan. Tell Bob to get that knee replaced.
    Love- Bro Ed

  3. Maybe telephone tag has caught up to all of you-but our sister Peg-the Blog Mistress= is laid up with a sprained ankle!!!According to Julie, Kathe is nursing her! (Dad always did want a nurse in the family, so Kathe is it!) According to Julie and Jo, Peg slipped at Target and had to go to the Emergency Ward. Supposedly this happened on New Years Eve day. So we will pray for quick healing for you, Peg, and wait for the correction of any rumors in the story. According to Julie, the doctor advised no work for three weeks-a serious matter for any person running their own business. As Father said at Mass this morning, times like this ask us to trust in the care of God for each of us. So for that we pray as well.

I'm on my way out the door to Curves. I joined=who knows for how long. I'm still feeling sore from my last workout on Monday.

Kathe, what have you heard from Bret?

Ed so glad you and Linda are enjoying your trip. Enjoy hearing from you pn the blog. Also, from Bonnie.

    Happy Birthday, Jo!!!

    Will closel Love, Mary C

  4. Hi, Family! I am finally online again. Our computer died an ignominious death a few weeks ago and I just bought a new one. Today, I discovered I will need to buy a new printer too. Yikes, things are falling apart at my house.
Both Tom and I are now unemployed and we are very busy looking for work anywhere in the country (Tom is inventory, warehouse, and logistics expert, I am training manager). So, if you have any contacts or leads, please pass them along. We were excited 2007 ended with all of its challenges and on Jan. 4th I was laid off. But we know God has a plan for us. I just wish, like all humans, I knew what it was already!
Hope everyone is doing well. It is fun to get on the blog and read about so many goings-on.
May this new year be filled with love and laughter and Spirit for all of you.
    Lots of love, Roseanne
P.S. Elizabeth and Kellene are both pregnant and still waiting for Christian to touch base and give me an address for him.
