Julie visits me

Hi all Julie and her buddy Bev stayed with me Fri and Sat and we saw the Human Body 2 Exhibit and it was truly a great experience. The Museum of Science and Industry is worth a trip to Chicago for regardless. We could not have been more blessed with weather as most of you could attest to this weekend.
Tom and Roseanne stopped by Sun eve on his motorbike...it was fun to see them having that much fun....They had tripped out to Batavia the day before and I wish I could have joined them for a nice dinner but I had been all afternoon out walking at the Morton Arboretum and that was just a great day also.
Kathe had Alicia and Norb and her birthday girl Emily over for Grandma Lennon's spaghetti and I heard homeamde strawberry shortcake for dessert...Wish I could have been there Kathe!

Got the hilarious pics from Ed and Linda and also thanks Linda for the pie recipe..Bonnie, I got the photos of the buildon (who was the great architect on that project? Was he Polish?) and good to keep up with you all...Add your bits, folks Love maggie
Mary Jo did you enjoy the Toffeettes from Sees??? Julie knew what you wanted!!

  1. Peg, the architect for the "addition", in 65" was basically your mom, as I recall your folks sitting around the kitchen table as she decided what she wanted. They went round and round about wether to finish off the upstairs or not, finally deciding that it could wait til later. (As we all know later never came for finishing it off} And of course as you girls got older and left home, there was no need for the extra bedrooms. It was quite a year and I recall at one point, when they were using the room at the base of the stairs as a kitchen with a hole in the floor where the stairs would end up bieng put, Marilyn, who always had such a wonderful sense of humor said one weekend, as she handed up a large pan of water to cook the spagetti in, "And to think my parents paid money for me to attend girl scout camp and live like this." You see there was no water hook up to the "temporary kitchen" so all the water usuage had to be brought up from the basement level, by hand. "Those were the days."
Congratulations to Pat and MaryJo on the sale of the house. You must have had it priced just right to sell so quickly. Be sure to let us all know when you get a new address.
I had hoped to hear about Kevins graduation ceremoney from Thomas, last sunday at Emma's First Communion dinner, however he had decided to work the rest of the day, so wasnt very available for conversation the rest of the day.
He had several massages scheduled for the rest of the day.
Im excited that Julie is coming down in August for Kevin's final graduation from Officers training and I will look forward to her visit.
This week, I believe it was Tuesday, on the TODAY SHOW, at 7:30 in the morn, Matt Lauer was at Galway, Ireland and featured a group of musicians called "The Lennon Quartet".
Always enjoying all the family entries. Thanks for sharing. Love, Bonnie
