With Jo Bob and Nettie

Besides bad travel problems in OHare my weekend with Jo and Bob was great!
Nettie fixed me a nice late night din with wine and tucked me in so I could sleep for a long time on Fri night. We then met with Jo and Jackie and we did our "girlie " thing at a Women's Conference....lots of things to do and see. Then Ann and Jo met up with us for dinner at a Pizza Joint where we celebrated Nettie's birthday. Jo proceeded to become very sick very quickly on the way home so hit the bed and I did not see her after that. Neds Bob and I sat up to discuss what is wrong with the world and I was the only one that was right....he heeee
Bob drove out to get us donuts on Sun morning and then he offered to drive us to Cahokia Mounds....a wonderful site to visit if any of you get the chance. I will post a pic or two of Bob showing us around there. A fine road trip indeed. Then off to the Casino for a fine steak meal before putting me on the plane...I talked with David but because of time and illness, we canceled kiddie visits..next time Jo...(PS I talked with Jo and she is now fine and Bob got sick on Monday....Nettie and I must be from good stock..we seem fine so far...)
Hey, feel free to join in gang....keep us all up on the surgeries of the "oldies but sickies "in the top half of the clan..ha ha ha.... Kiss Hug Love I will add some pictures..

  1. Thanks for the update Peg and sounds like you guys had a good time together although Jo must have eaten something that didn't settle well. Pictures were pretty neat too. Your fight with the weather was not different than what we have been battling too. In fact today, it may get above freezing and we may even see temps in the 50's by Sunday. Not bad for one week from Spring. Everyone here is pretty healthy and very busy. Everyone will be at our house on March 18th as we celebrate March birthdays. It is really an experience watching these grandchildren getting older, getting drivers license, etc. Two Sundays ago we went to the recital for Becky's girls who play violin. Becky accompanied them with her flute in one song. Impressed watching all these different aged kids playing violin - especially at the end when they all play together. Then last Sunday it was Irish dance with Tim's girls. Wow, for 2-1/2 hours, we sat and enjoyed one set of dancers after another - and this was the second show of the day!! A whole different group performed in the first show. I am busy helping to do the Stations of the Cross, planning Holy Week liturgies and services (we are going to do a Tenebrae service this year), Beth and I are helping with a Couple's Prayer series every Friday nite of Lent - well the list goes on. All of us are attending the Lennon Center Auction on March 24th. On March 25th, all the older girls from the three families in Ann Arbor will be making their St. Louis DeMontfort Consecration to Mary. We are forever grateful that we can still get around and take in all these activities with all the families. God has been so good to us and we thank Him everyday for all the graces He has bestowed on us and our families. May we all be drawn ever closer to Him as we experience His love and forgivness during this Lenten Season. Must close. God bless you all.

  2. Enjoyed the update from Peg, and Fred as well. So wonderful that you can enjoy all the great activities and performances of the grandchildren.
Mike, lets hear an update on how you are doing after surgery. Ed shared about his ouchies so why dont you??
And Patrick, are you still using the eneagram a lot in your work? Havent heard you say much about it lately. In fact, would love to hear more about how your work is going in the windy city.
Got a brief e-mail from Brett, which I enjoyed, telling me a little about his service career. He said he has a great view of the Alps from his window.
Roseanne, I know newlyweds are "busy" but would love to hear about your work and what Christian is doing these days.
Today, after work, I went on a two hour tour of a 7 million dollar home. Its the Roswell Women's club annual Showcase home and the ticket price goes to chariy. I can tell you I sure wouldnt want a home like that. It had 8 bedrooms and fireplaces .But the rain gutters were already rusting!!!! (I had to find some fault with it.) The master bathroom had a fireplace, right next to the tub. Guess you northerners would go for that, these days. And I love the fellow who just won the 80 million dollar lottery here in Ga. He said hes going to go fishing and will buy a new boat!!!!!!! Enjoy the simple life!!!! Happy March. Bonnie
