Just in case you didn't read my comments under the last two Posts. The blog is back working the way it used to. The biggest issue was the WORD VARIFICATION window that required you copy the wavy letters that appeared after your comments.
Also I think enabling the pop up comments window created some issues. For now we are back to hitting the comments link under the post then writing your comment and after selecting the OTHER button, put your Name in the box or just end your statement with you name.
Have a Great weekend everybody. Love Pat
Just testing this again. If it works I will write more, Bonnie
ReplyDeleteWell, Patrick, thanks again for our new directions. I certainly cant figure out why the method of posting keeps changing.
ReplyDeleteI had written a post that of course didnt get through regarding Sarah's wonderful trip, won by Emma, to Disneyworld. They, that is Emma, Jackson, Sarah and Laura returned monday, after five wonderful days all expense paid vacation, sponsered by BertsBigAdventure.org/ which is from the local radio station Q100.
Emma won it because of bieng one of 14 children with cronic or terminal disease, hers bieng JRA juvinile ruhmatoid arthritis.
They were treated like royalty the whole trip, private delta chartered jet,to Orlando and gifts , food, hotel, rides, etc etc all sponsored thru Berts Big Adventure. If you are interested you can view some of the 200+ photos of the trip, at website.
Bertsbigadventure.org/ Emma first appears in Set I fourth down on the left. And Laura and the kids, doing crafts is 10th down on right. There is one of Emma on the plane. Jackson with the pilot on the Set II 3rd down on the left. The trip photographer followed them everywhere, all over the park. Set III you can see them 7th down on the right in the horse and wagon ride. And the bottom of that set has Emma and Jack. Enjoy my beautiful grandchildren!!! Bonnie
It's great to have all the comments.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, the reason the method of posting keeps changing is our dear lovable sister Peggy drinks very srong coffee in the AM, and lots of cheap wine in the PM.
Not to mention she is a driven multitasking Enneagram #7 who can't juggle all those tasks like she used to.
But she keeps us all together with her great Idea's (like the blog),and helps us remember it's important to have fun. We love her dearly.
MJ and I just got dug out here in Iowa about 2PM. It's back snowing again after raining most of the AM. Marianne & Ryan said they got about 15" of snow in Madison and it's still snowing.
Any other weather related reports?
Hope everyone is doing well, especially ED after surgery. God Bless all. Love, Pat & MJ

ReplyDeleteHi everybody! Believe it or not, I'm actually contributing to the blog!!
ReplyDeleteI read the blog often (thank you,
Peg and Pat, for making this
a possible way for all of us to keep in touch), but I don't seem to find the time to sit down long enough to add anything.
A very belated happy birthday to
Fred, happy anniversaries to Fred
and Beth and Ed and Linda, and my wishes and prayers for Ed and
Mike's speedy recoveries!
It was fun hearing
about Sarah and Emma. Tom or
Bonnie, if you get
a chance, give me the email address
for Sarah so I can get in touch with her.
My Emily is still with the McGraw-Hill Publishing Company.
She is keeping very busy with her job.
Alicia has not gotten the ring
yet (even though they have picked
it out), but all of you can plan
on a Labor Day weekend wedding in
Chicago next year (2008). She is
getting married in a cathedral in
downtown Chicago, and hopes to have
the reception and hotel
availability for family/friends in Oak Brook (near Peggy's). She is
enjoying her job as a project
manager for the vertical expansion
of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield
building in downtown Chicago. She
also keeps busy with that.
Brett just got back to Italy from
training in Germany. He returns
to Germany for more training during
March/April, and then leaves for
Afghanistan in late May. He is
part of the 3200 troops that have
had their deployment changed from
Iraq to Afghanistan in their
effort to confront the expanded
presence of the Taliban. I ask
you all for your prayers and
support during this upcoming
difficult time.
When Kevin gets us his address, Brett said it is VERY important for as many people as
possible to write him because he
said it's one of the only things
that keeps you going during that
rough basic training. I am so
proud of our boys!!
My job as a kindergarten teacher
half day and Reading Recovery
teacher the other half day keeps
me extremely busy (just ask
Mary Jo, who doesn't see much of
me because I'm so busy!), but I
do love it and love being here
in the Chicago area near family.
Peggy and I do alot together, I
get to see my girls often, and I have so enjoyed having Pat and
MJ with me. I haven't seen much
of Roseanne since she got married,
but it's still nice knowing she is
here also.
Please keep the news coming.
I love you all and feel so blessed
to have this big, wonderful family.
Bye and God bless for now.
Love,
Kathe
Kathe, sure enjoyed your newsy update, and will send Sarah's address to your regular e-mail address. Mary good to hear what your family has been up to. And Patrick, thanks for the explaination on #7 sister's coffee/wine situation, which explains a lot. It really made me chuckle out loud to read that. Clever you are, for sure. What would all those sister's do in Chicago without your sage counsel???!!!! We ,at school are looking towards our spring festival for which my teacher decided that a nice symbol of peace in the classroom project, would be to make 1000 white paper doves and hang them from the ceiling. I loved the idea and thought how really lovely that would be, however the difficult part is not the children, creating the doves by inserting coffee paper filters in the wing slot, but instead the sewing, by "Us" of the doves in stings of five connected by a disending thread. I'm beginning to have my doubts of our finishing the entire 1000 doves. But I like her optimisim!!!
ReplyDeleteI did feel rather peaceful as I was joining each group of five today. So far, only 30 done. Festival, end of March. PEACE
