  1. OK, OK, here is the scoop!!! We started our day with the usual Holy Hour (5:30-6:30am) and then went to 6:45am Holy Mass. Then we got our Starbucks and I read the papers while Beth went shopping at Kroegers. We were home and that is when the Happy Birthday phone calls started - each of our kids families called to sing Happy Birthday. Got several other calls from friends who wanted to wish me Happy Birthday. The snow storm started about 3pm and our resturant reservation was for 5pm. We finally got their at 5:15pm due to the weather. What a meal!!! French Onion soup and Filet and mashed potatoes - equals stuffed. We then went to Wendy's where the grandchildren had made a strawberry-rhubarb and cherry pies for our dessert - now really stuffed!! It was a dicy ride back home but made it fine. This morning had to snowblow about 7-inches of snow from driveway. We had a meeting at 9am in Brighton,MI to talk about health insurance as Ford is dropping our coverage. After very slippery morning, rest of day was pretty nice. Now we are expecting below zero temps tonight. I want to thank all those who made phone calls and those who send email notes wishing me a happy birthday - they were much appreciated. Becky and family are taking us to Miller's Bar Saturday to celebrate my birthday so it takes awhile to complete these things when you reach my age. Hope everyone out there is keeping warm and staying dry. We are experiencing real winter right now and although not my favorite season we are loving it. May God bless you all as He has abundantly bless us.
